If you are looking to increase the luggage capacity of your Mini Convertible, we have the answer. Hatch-bags add 125 litres of extra storage space increasing the luggage capacity of the Mini Convertible by 50%. The hatch-bag fits all generation of the Mini Cabrio the R52 2005-08 and the R57 2009-2015 and the current F57. On the earlier R52 you will need to cut the standard foam section to fit over the external hinges on the tailgate.

The straps that secure the frame have a large end that stays inside the boot/trunk no metal hooks to damage paintwork.

Frames secures using six webbing straps, no hooks or clips. Bag then straps to frame, thick foam sections protect paint.

No metal clamps or hooks to chip paintwork, only soft webbing
Stage one place the 6 straps inside the boot/trunk and pull the ebbing through the panel gaps
Stage 2 : Shut boot/trunk place frame on and attach the 6 straps to the points on the frame
Attach the bag to the frame with the reg plate holder and light if driving at night.

Hi Antony , Just wanted to say what a fantastic bit of kit this hatch-bag is !! Made the 4 person camping trip journey, in a 4 seater car so stress (and cramp) free!! Not sure where I can leave a formal review but did tag on some social stories as I know friends struggle with space and the variety / cost of roof rack systems ! This was amazing , I attached a bungee cord just for my piece of mind and was needed for camping kit anyway, but really wasn’t needed at-all so secure and didn’t move once ! Thanks again ! Stage 1
Layout the 6 straps with the hatch huggers inside the boot
Stage 2
Shut the boot and pull the straps tight
Stage 3
Place the hatch-bag frame on the bumper and secure.
Stage 4
Position rear foam section on frame to ensure rack is proud of paintwork, this section can be rotated and moved up and down the frame
Stage 5
Pull straps tight and tie off
Stage 6
Secure bag to rack and attach reg plate in holder provided if bag obscures plate.
